While I've never met you, I know something about you that possibly nobody else does, maybe not even you =)

You are NOT a human named (fill in the blank)

FIRST go into the text, a rampage of appreciation that makes them feel amazing about themselves, about what they really are, infinite possibilities, love bombing at its finest!

SECOND prove it to them by taking them through the exercise...

and in the next few moments, I'll prove it to you.

If you already know you're NOT human, click here to return to where you were reading on my start here page.

Otherwise, let's begin what maybe the most interesting thing you'll ever learn about yourself...

If you didn't know this
Do you like being called Infinite Possibilities?

Or would you prefer...

Infinite potential?

Infinite opportunities?

Who am I Then?

Most people when they answer this question, “Who am I?” reply by saying the name they were given.

                                Example
                                I am Al.
                                I am Namaste.
I am NOT my name, names change.

I can’t be Al because I’ve changed that name multiple times (Alex, Alexander, Namaste and the woman who use to call me Ben or something like that?)
Also, my name isn’t anything.  It’s just a label. And as mentioned, I can legally change my name to another name.  Let’s say I changed my name from Al to Jack or from Sarah to Chrissy.  Now, I’m no longer Al or Sarah, I’m one of the other names. But, who I am as not a name. Ask myself the question again.

Who am I?

“I am a man.”

With today’s tech, I can change from a man to a woman so I can’t be a man.

Or said another way, while it is true that I have male or female parts, they are not who I am.  With today’s surgical technology, you can change that.

If you’re a woman, you can become a man.  If you’re a man, you can become a woman.

Who am I?

    I am this human body.

I looked down at my hand, saw wrinkles and KNEW I am NOT this body.

I can’t be because my past life experience tells me I am NOT a body.
(I discovered I was a solider in World War II at Joy’s dorm)

    OR

I am this body

I’ve switched bodies in a dream so I KNOW THIS IS TRUE.

Remember dream of looking in the mirror and seeing a face like Bunky Bartletts?  Then, looking down and seeing the fatty arms and pudgy hands with short fingers and then looking in the mirror again and feeling upset that “this is not my body”?

Dream images! are what the body is, close my eyes and only sensations exist.
(Want to heal the body, change the image of the body).

If you say you are the body, which piece are you?  If a piece goes away are you still the body without that piece?

When you were five years old, you had a five year old body.  Now, as an adult, you have an adult body.  You can’t be a body, because then you’d have to be the five year old body, or the adult body.  The bodies are different but who you are is the same.  You inhabited the five year old body.  Now, you inhabit an adult body.

Additional thought from the book LUCID LIVING by Tim Freke,
“Common sense, of course, says you are a person.
But even in everyday speech we say, “I have a body” not “I am a body.”
And we talk about “my mind” as if the mind is something we possess, not something we are.”

I am is the only thing I can know (pointing at me being awareness) so everything else (like a body) needs to be considered with that in mind.

I own a car, I’m not the car, I have a body, I am NOT THE BODY.

I am is the only thing I can really know.

The body is just what I experience through, it is NOT me, as I have different bodies in different dreams.

Other people do what I want (follow my alignment) so I can NOT be this body, if I were this body, other people would do things independently of my alignment.

Who am I?

I am NOT the name of a job I am doing (teacher), a business title (entrepreneur), family title, hobby, things I’m into/study designations.

             Example: I am a teacher. I am a mom or a dad. I am a rock climber. I am a sky diver.
You can change your profession though, so you can’t be your professional designation.
Your kids could pass on and you’d no longer be a parent so you can’t be a mom or a dad.  You could stop skydiving and start fishing so you’d no longer be a sky diver.

All of those are just labels for things that I do.

I’m NOT an employee or an entrepreneur.

I’m NOT a law of attraction coach (that’s just what I do sometimes).

Those are things about the character I am playing!

Please ask yourself the question again.

Who am I?

I’m NOT the amount of money I have at any given time (anymore than I am the car I drive).

I’ve had a lot of money and a couple of times no money, that’s just the amount of money I have at the time, not who I am.

Who am I?

I am my life history.

Example
I was born in April of 1977 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  My parents’ names are Albert and Frances.  I moved to California when I was a teenager.  I graduated from Morro Bay High School.  I went to college and dropped out to start my own business.

Who I am is NOT a set of events that happened to me since I was born.
Those events happened, but I am not those events.  Please ask yourself the question again.

Who am I?

    I’m my personality!

Those are my traits BUT NOT WHO I AM! (would be like saying I’m the arm body, I have traits to my personality but am NOT the personality)

Remember in the 4th grade I switched to being an extrovert!!!

Recreate Your Life, page 42 (ha! 42!)
At birth, I was pure possibility.  I didn’t enter this experience with a tag on my foot saying that I would be a specific kind of person.  As I grew up, I made distinctions & decisions about myself.  Parents don’t cause beliefs.  My mom never listening to what I wanted, didn’t cause a belief, it created the circumstances that I observed and then created a belief about it (likely I don’t matter).  These beliefs aren’t just thoughts in my head, they are beliefs THAT I THEN ACTUALLY BECAME.  My actions, perceptions, interpretations, feelings-and even the way I was treated-became consistent with being someone with that belief.  From there, the beliefs then become “who I am,” they become unchangeable facts, they become “the truth.”  Then, I start saying things like “that’s just the way I am” or “it’s part of my personality” or that’s “my way.”  And conversely, “that’s NOT me” and “that’s NOT the way I am.” And that boxes me into that identity further.  But that identity isn’t real, it’s simply the result of the distinctions that it is made of, that I created!

My personality wasn’t given to me “at birth.”  It was something I created (remember the 4th grade and I was a extroverted physical, had I not left New Mexico, who knows… I could have ended up that way)

I’m experiencing myself as “the creation” instead of “being the one who did the creating!”

Who Am I?

I’m NOT the strengths and weaknesses of this character.

Those are just characteristics I chose to make this character’s life interesting.

Who am I?

For those who studied philosophy, maybe they’ll remember something from when they were studying and say something like Rene Descartes did, “I think, therefore I am.”

I am NOT my thoughts or emotions.
My thoughts and emotions are NOT who I am.
We know this because if you mediate, your mind can become completely quiet and no thoughts occur.
When I stop thinking thoughts, do I stop existing? No
When I stop feeling emotions and am totally neutral, do I stop existing? No
No, so I can’t be your thoughts or emotions.  Same goes for your emotions.  When your emotions stop, do you stop?  No.  Ask yourself the question again.

Who am I?

    I am “I.”

    I can NOT be “I” though because I can’t fine “I,” I can’t point to “the I.”

I’ve not the body so that can’t be it.
       So where is “I”?

Who am I?

Most people are quiet at this point.  The good news is they know all the things they are not by now.  They know they are not a thought, emotion, human body, a mom or dad, a career or hobby designation, or the things that have happened to them through their lives.

Finally, most will respond by saying, “I am me.”

“I am the one who is experiencing thoughts, emotions, and the other senses.”

Finally, we made it to who you are….

You are what is aware of other things.  You could say, “I am awareness.”
Or I am an alien awareness.  You are what is experiencing thoughts, emotions, tastes, touches, sounds etc.  You could say, “I am the experiencer who is having experiences.”
* I’m ultimately most likely awareness (or I could be something else) but what is clear is that I am NOT HUMAN (we are not human) and the world in front of my eyes is an illusion that is not separate from me.

Remember Robert Waggoner’s asking the lucid dream, “What am I?”
I am whoever/whatever I’ll allow myself to be.

I am not alive or dead, those are physical reality distinctions, I SIMPLY AM.

What is the value in knowing that I am an alien awareness having a temporary human experience, or the experiencer who is experiencing things?

It reminds me that everything in front of my eyes is as real as a movie, it’s a dream.
Movies are for entertainment, they aren’t real.
Dreams are fun but they aren’t real either.
Nothing in front of my eyes is real.

Now the BIG question is if I am an alien awareness that has created a temporary human experience who are all these people I see?

If I’m not my name,
body,
what I do for a living,
events I’ve experienced,
thoughts or emotions
THEY CAN NOT BE THEIR NAMES, BODIES, OR EVEN HUMANS EITHER.
SO WHAT ARE THEY?

    They are awareness too.

Are they separate awarenesses from me?

    It seems like it.

It seems like they are living different lives.

And they do things that I don’t want them to do.

It seems like there are other people, doing things, otherwise the experience/movie of life wouldn’t be interesting.  That is why, if I look at another person and think, “Move your arm” (unless I’m aligned) that person won’t move their arm.  That’s interesting right?  In the dream you’re remembering, if you logically think about it, it’s your dream.  You aren’t yourself in the dream.  It’s your dream, so that means you are the ground, the sky, the sun, the clouds, the buildings, and all the other people too.  Yet, even though this is true, and you are you in the dream, plus all the other people too, they don’t move their arms when you think, “Person move your arm to the right.”  Ponder this thought, until the next exercise.

But when I get into alignment, THEY FOLLOW IT.

Since they follow my alignment, they can NOT be separate from me, they are me.

My mom is NOT really my mom named Frances (a 70+ year old woman).

August is NOT really August (a 40 something transgender male).

Pat is NOT really Pat (a middle-aged guy I’ve known for over 20 years).

Mom, August, Pat are ALL REALLY ME.

Awareness is awareness, it does NOT have a starting and stopping place.

    I am awareness,
They are awareness.
We are awareness
We are NOT humans; we are AWARENESS WHICH IS SO MUCH MORE VAST….
All those people, the world in front of my eyes, my body IS THE FULL VIEW OF ME (I’m seeing all of my body for the first time).
We are a muti-faceted awareness like the ocean with its countless waves.

WE ARE “ALL OF AWARENESS”

Always think of yourself as a mirror.
The mirror can never see itself, but it sees its projection in the world.
Therefore, whatever you see is yourself. What else can you see but yourself.
Robert Adams

To remind myself they are ALL me, I need start saying “ME” after their names…
